Quartzite is an igneous stone with an attractive sparkle finish. It is most often supplied with a cleft finish, cut to size, or flagstone. Quartzite can also be ground and polished. I have even produced some with a “antique-honed” finish, and it looked fantastic. This is a great option for bringing out new life by adding colour, and making it much easier to keep clean.

Quartzite Cleaning

Quartzite can usually be cleaned with any option required to remove the given contaminants; whether it is biological, organic, or mineral staining. Part of our process uses pressure cleaning, as it is necessary to remove the embedded soils from the course texture. Our system catches the chemical effluent so it can be disposed of properly.

Quartzite Sealing

Quartzite is very porous and is one stone type I recommend sealing every time, with an impregnating sealer of course. The type of quartzite sealer we use is suited for extra porous stone and will provide the maximum amount of protection. At times a colour enhancing sealer can be used to add beauty and bring a new life to old and faded quartzite stone surfaces.
